Everything about Rene cafe is amazing - the food, the ambience, and the service!

Food - one of the best if not the best Thai in LA. The food is so fresh and incredibly flavorful. I get the spicy basil dish with tofu and broccoli - absolutely delicious! so many yummy vegetarian dishes to choose from, too. The food is so good I often come back a few times a week to eat it!

Ambience - super cute diner feel with a lot of history and character.

Service - amazing! Everyone's super nice, friendly, and welcoming that it makes you love coming back and supporting the owners and the workers.

    A must visit in LA!!!!

This place is utterly amazing. Serious. Small and unassuming, but so addictive. I used to live across the street, so it was really convenient. Now I live 30+ minutes away and still drive there 2-3 times a month to get my fix.

The owner is super friendly and chatty. Mama, aka the chef, makes magic in the kitchen. Haven't had a bad dish yet. The chef was kind enough to teach me how to make my favorite dish. I get a close reproduction, but hers is magical.

Foodie Tip: Order the Ga Paow, Thai style with ground chicken. Then make absolutely sure you add two fried eggs on top. Not one egg. Two. One is never enough. This is my go-to Thai dish. I've tried in tons of restaurants across the country and this is by far, the best I've ever had. Add a Thai Tea to drink and you'll have a meal to remember.
